Reiki
Reiki is both a "hands-on" and "hands off" technique that is based on the concept that everything in the universe is made up of "life force energy". It is named Reiki after the Japanese words Rei meaning "life" and ki meaning "energy." This energy is always present and when it is depleted - one is more susceptible to illness and injury. Reiki is administered by passing energy through the client to the needed areas by either touching the client directly or by releasing energy into the client's energetic field. The most common benefits experienced by Reiki treatments are deep relaxation, pain reduction, accelerated wound healing and a more rapid recovery from illness.
